At Magna Foodservice, our story is one of passion, dedication and the relentless pursuit of excellence.

Founded in 1997 in Ealing, London, we embarked on a journey to redefine the landscape of foodservice by providing quality products to the independent restaurants and fast-food establishments.

1993

The Beginning

In the heart of Ealing, our founders saw an opportunity to introduce the fried chicken range of foods with quality ingredients and flavourings as well as a high calibre of food operational excellence. The business was named Roosters Piri Piri.

The Warehouse

The first warehouse was setup in Hounslow, West London. This was a major step in moving towards a more scalable model of business.

1998

The Second Warehouse

Due to the growth of the business a larger warehouse was acquired to fulfil the business needs.

Expansion & Innovation

As our reputation for quality spread, we expanded our product line and introduced our ‘own brand’ products such as breadings. We also moved into a larger warehouse in Heston.

2010

Commitment to Healthy Food

Recognising our responsibility to contribute towards better health, we changed the ingredients to be free from elements such as Gluten. We also stopped all fried food in all our own stores and focused on grilled, piri piri food.

Celebrating 25 Years

Proudly celebrated a quarter century of serving food ventures across the country. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our loyal clients, dedicated team members, and supportive partners who have been integral to our success.

Own Brand Products

We moved our focus towards ‘own brand products’ and launched a variety f items from mineral water to coated fries.

Scaled our Facilities

We increased our capacity of chilled and frozen products by creating temperature-controlled warehouses which greatly increased our holding capacity and helped make our operations more efficient.

Our Story

In the bustling culinary landscape of West London, two friends set out on a flavourful journey that would give birth to Magna Foodservice. Their story is one of passion, a love for quality cuisine and a desire to bring the premium experience to independent restaurants and fast-food establishments.

The Spark of Inspiration

It all started in 1993, when Khalid Mirza and Khalid Hussein, one with an insatiable love for gastronomy (food development) and the other a vision of an eagle, noticed a gap in the market. Independent food ventures often struggled to access top-tier ingredients and foods reserved for larger establishments. Fuelled by the belief that every eatery, regardless of size, deserved access to premium quality, the duo laid down the foundation for Magna Foodservice.


The Early Challenges

Launching this venture was not without its hurdles. They faced the challenge of establishing supplier relationships, ensuring consistent quality, and building a brand in a competitive market. The commitment kept them going through late nights, countless tastings, and the inevitable hurdles of starting a new venture.

Triumphs Along The Way

Despite challenges, Magna Foodservice experienced several milestones that shaped its trajectory. The successful introduction of Magna Premium Breading marked a turning point, earning acclaim to a unique flavour profile.


Weathering Storms Together

In 2019 the world faced unprecedented challenges due to Covid-19. Supply chain disruptions, changing consumer behaviours, compulsory closure of restaurants, and economic uncertainties tested the resilience of Magna Foodservice. The team navigated these storms by embracing agility, focusing on customer needs, reinforcing the company’s commitment to quality and most importantly, by applying empathy to the challenges faced by everyone.
