Founded in 1997 in Ealing, London, we embarked on a journey to redefine the landscape of foodservice by providing quality products to the independent restaurants and fast-food establishments.
In the bustling culinary landscape of West London, two friends set out on a flavourful journey that would give birth to Magna Foodservice. Their story is one of passion, a love for quality cuisine and a desire to bring the premium experience to independent restaurants and fast-food establishments.
It all started in 1993, when Khalid Mirza and Khalid Hussein, one with an insatiable love for gastronomy (food development) and the other a vision of an eagle, noticed a gap in the market. Independent food ventures often struggled to access top-tier ingredients and foods reserved for larger establishments. Fuelled by the belief that every eatery, regardless of size, deserved access to premium quality, the duo laid down the foundation for Magna Foodservice.
Launching this venture was not without its hurdles. They faced the challenge of establishing supplier relationships, ensuring consistent quality, and building a brand in a competitive market. The commitment kept them going through late nights, countless tastings, and the inevitable hurdles of starting a new venture.
Despite challenges, Magna Foodservice experienced several milestones that shaped its trajectory. The successful introduction of Magna Premium Breading marked a turning point, earning acclaim to a unique flavour profile.
In 2019 the world faced unprecedented challenges due to Covid-19. Supply chain disruptions, changing consumer behaviours, compulsory closure of restaurants, and economic uncertainties tested the resilience of Magna Foodservice. The team navigated these storms by embracing agility, focusing on customer needs, reinforcing the company’s commitment to quality and most importantly, by applying empathy to the challenges faced by everyone.
Today, Magna Foodservice stands tall as a symbol of innovation and unwavering commitment to its founding principles. The initial dream of Khalid Mirza has transformed into a thriving business that continues to inspire and elevate experiences of all.
