Heera Coriander Whole – 6x700g

Description

Heera Whole Coriander Seeds (Dhaniya): the warm, citrusy base note of the spice rack.

Coriander seed, dhaniya in South Asian kitchens, is one of the most used spices in curry cooking, valued for a gentle warmth with a hint of citrus. This is the big whole seed, sold whole so it holds flavour until you toast or grind it. The 6x700g format means a case of six 700g packs, a practical bulk buy for kitchens that make their own masalas and for home cooks who like to grind fresh.

Key Features

• Whole seeds keep their warm, citrusy aroma until you release it
• Six 700g packs give strong value for high-use kitchens
• A core spice in garam masala and countless curry blends
• Works whole in pickles and stocks, or toasted and ground in mixes
• Long cupboard life when kept sealed and dry

Cooking

Dry toast the seeds until fragrant, then grind for spice blends, rubs and curry powders, or crack them coarsely for pickles and braises. Coriander pairs naturally with cumin, and the two form the backbone of many masalas.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place out of direct light and reseal the pack after each use to protect the aroma.
