These are whole cinnamon sticks from East End Foods, labelled dalchini, the common South Asian name for cinnamon. The pack is a single 400 g bag, a generous catering sized quantity of dried rolled bark. You use the sticks whole to infuse dishes, then lift them out before serving.

Cooking and Uses: Drop a stick or two into hot oil at the start of a biryani or curry to release the aroma, or simmer them in syrups, stocks and mulled drinks. Remove the stick before serving. You can grind small pieces if you need fresh cinnamon powder, and a little goes a long way.
