Retail – East End CORIANDER WHOLE (DHANIA) 400g

Description

East End Whole Coriander Seeds, or dhania, for a fresh citrus lift in everyday cooking

These are whole coriander seeds from East End Foods, labelled dhania, the South Asian name for the spice. The pack is a single 400 g bag, a large catering friendly quantity of the small round seeds. You can toast and grind them fresh or use them as they are.

Key Features

• One 400 g bag of whole seeds, generous enough for frequent cooking and bulk buyers
• Warm, mildly citrus and nutty flavour that underpins countless curries and spice blends
• Whole seeds hold their aroma much longer than ready ground coriander
• Toast and grind for garam masala, or crush into rubs, pickles and marinades
• A backbone spice in South Asian, Middle Eastern and North African kitchens

Cooking and Uses: Dry toast the seeds in a pan until fragrant, then grind them for curry pastes, dhal and spice mixes, or add them whole to pickles, stocks and braises. Coarsely crushed seeds add texture to rubs for meat and roasted vegetables. Grind only what you need for the freshest flavour.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry cupboard in an airtight container away from light. Whole seeds keep well for a long time. Note the best before date on the pack.
