Retail – East End GREEN PISTA KERNAL 100g

Description

East End Green Pistachio Kernels 100 g, shelled green pistachios for cooking and garnishing.

These are shelled pistachio kernels, sold by East End Foods as a 100 g single retail pack. Pista is the South Asian name for pistachio, and kernel means the nut has already been taken out of its shell, so you get the vivid green nut ready to use. The 100 g size is handy for baking, garnishing and small batch cooking.

Key Features

• Shelled green pistachio kernels, with no cracking required.
• 100 g single retail pack, ideal for baking and finishing dishes.
• Bright green colour that makes a striking garnish on sweets and desserts.
• Used across South Asian and Middle Eastern cooking, from kulfi and barfi to baklava.
• Chop, grind or scatter whole for flavour, texture and colour.

Cooking and Uses: Chop or grind the kernels to fold through kulfi, kheer, barfi and ice cream, or press them onto mithai and cakes. Scatter them whole or slivered over rice dishes, salads and roasted vegetables. They can also be blended into pastes for richer desserts.

Storage

Keep in a cool, dry place in an airtight container, away from strong odours and light which can dull the colour.

A: These are kernels for cooking, typically supplied plain and unsalted, but do check the pack.
