Heera Brown Lentils, also called whole masoor, are dried brown skinned lentils in a 2kg retail pack. Unlike red split lentils, these keep their skins and stay whole, so they hold a firmer bite after cooking. The 2kg bag is a single retail size, useful for frequent cooking or light catering.
Cooking and Uses: Rinse, then simmer in plenty of water until tender, usually 30 to 40 minutes, with no need for a long soak. Use in dal, soups, stews, salads or as a side. A short soak can shorten the cooking time.
Keep cool, dry and sealed once opened, and use within the pack date.
