This is Heera Crushed Chilli, supplied in a 700g pack. It is made from dried red chillies crushed to a coarse flake, so you get both the heat of the flesh and the extra kick from the seeds. The flakes bring a warm red colour and a clean, direct heat to a wide range of dishes.
Add to hot oil at the start of cooking for a tempered, spicy base, stir through sauces and marinades, or scatter over finished food for extra heat. Start with a small amount and build up, as the heat can be strong.
Store in a cool, dry place in a sealed container away from direct sunlight to keep the colour and heat.
