The seeds are whole, ready to temper or grind as you like.
Cooking and Uses: Crackle the seeds in hot oil or ghee to start a tarka, then stir through dal, vegetables or rice. Dry toast and grind for a fresher curry base or garam masala. Scatter a few seeds over breads and roasted vegetables before baking.
Keep in a cool, dry cupboard away from direct light. Reseal or decant into an airtight jar to hold the aroma.
