Heera Star Aniseed offers whole, dried star shaped pods in a 50g pack, ready to infuse your cooking with a deep, sweet, liquorice like warmth. Each pod is dropped into dishes to release its distinctive fragrance slowly during cooking, then usually removed before serving.
Add one or two whole pods to hot oil at the start of cooking, or drop into simmering stocks, biryani rice, braises and mulled drinks. Remove before serving. Whole pods can be lightly toasted to deepen the aroma.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Reseal after use to keep the contents fresh.
