Heera Vatana, listed as white peas or whole yellow peas, are dried whole peas in a 2kg retail pack. Being whole and dried, they need soaking before they cook through.
Cooking and Uses: Soak for several hours or overnight, drain, then boil until tender before adding to your dish. Common in ragda pattice, ghugni and spiced pea curries. A pressure cooker speeds the boiling stage.
