This is a single retail sachet holding 56g of National Delhi Nihari, enough ground recipe blend to season one homemade batch of nihari, the rich slow cooked meat stew in the Delhi style. The spices are already measured and balanced, so you can go straight from packet to pan without weighing out a cupboard of jars.
Brown your meat, add water and this masala, then simmer very slowly until the meat is meltingly tender and the gravy has turned deep and glossy. Thicken with a little flour if you wish. Serve with naan, and garnish with ginger, green chilli and lemon.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep the contents sealed and use within a reasonable time for the best flavour.
