TRS Moth Beans, also known as matki, are small brown pulses with an earthy, nutty flavour. Supplied dried in a 500g pack, they are a staple of Indian home cooking and take well to both simmering and sprouting.
Soak and simmer into moth bean curry, usal and dal, or sprout the beans for a few days to use in misal pav, chaat and fresh salads. They also add substance to soups and stews.
Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Keep away from moisture to maintain quality.
