TRS Fine Semolina is produced by milling wheat into a fine, even textured grain, sometimes called sooji or rava. This 1.5kg pack suits both home cooks and caterers. Its smooth grind makes it especially good for sweet dishes such as halwa and semolina pudding, as well as for baking and coating. As it is made from wheat, it contains gluten.
Toast gently in ghee or butter as the base for halwa, or simmer with milk and sugar for a classic semolina pudding. It also works in baking, in savoury upma and as a light coating for frying. Add liquid gradually to avoid lumps.
Store in a cool, dry place away from moisture. Once opened, keep the semolina in an airtight container to maintain freshness and keep out pests.
