This 1kg pack of TRS Split Red Lentils, widely known as masoor dal, contains husked and split red lentils that cook quickly without lengthy soaking. They break down to a soft, smooth finish, making them a comforting base for everyday dhal and much more.
How to cook: Rinse the lentils until the water runs clear, then simmer in fresh water until soft, skimming any foam. Season and temper with spices to make dhal, or add to soups, stews and curries for body and flavour.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep in an airtight container and use within the period stated on the pack.
