This value 2kg pack of TRS Split Yellow Peas, sometimes called matar dal, holds dried, husked and split yellow peas that cook down to a soft, mildly sweet finish. The larger size is well suited to batch cooking and frequent use.
How to cook: Rinse the peas thoroughly and soak for a few hours if you prefer a shorter cooking time. Simmer in fresh water until tender, then season and temper with spices. Use in dhal, thick soups, stews and curries.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, keep in an airtight container and use within the period stated on the pack.
