This is TRS anardana, made from dried pomegranate that is ground into a coarse powder, supplied as a catering case of 20 packs of 100g. Anardana is used across South Asian cooking as a souring agent, bringing a tangy, slightly sweet and fruity sharpness to dishes without added liquid.
Stir into chutneys, curries, dals and marinades to add sourness, or work into dough for breads and savoury snacks. Add to taste, as its sharpness can build quickly.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep tightly sealed after opening to protect flavour and texture.
