These TRS Black Cardamom Pods are whole, large pods with a bold, smoky and resinous aroma, supplied in a case of 10 units at 200g each. Quite different from the sweeter green cardamom, black cardamom brings a deep, warming note that stands up to rich, slow cooked dishes. The 10 x 200g case is convenient for regular use and for resale.
Add whole pods to hot oil at the start of curries, biryanis and rice dishes, or drop them into slow cooked stews and stocks to release their smoky depth. Lightly crush the pods first for a stronger flavour, and remove before serving if preferred.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Keep sealed in an airtight container after opening to hold the aroma.
